Abstract

Eighteen varieties of "Wangul" in Korea were examined for the growing process of leaf-length, stem-length, tiller-numbers and the whole-weight per plant under paddy field conditions. At the same time, eight varieties were examined for the length and breadth of leaves, length and thickness of stems, bract-length, peduncle-length, weight of leaves, stems and heads, tillering period, heading time, flowering time, days from heading to growth stop of stems of main stem and the tillers under pots culture.
