Abstract
In Japanese school education, citizenship education has been regarded as an important educational goal. On the other hand, transport policy practices of mobility management that tries to induce voluntary cooperative travel behavior has been implemented, and mobility management education in school was also implemented in elementary and junior high school in all over Japan, while focusing on issues of regional mobility and traffic congestion. In the education, necessity to implement cooperative behavior to mitigate several problems regarding regional mobility has been taught. In this paper, actual cases of mobility management education in school was introduced and it was discussed based on theorist of social dilemmas that mobility management education can contribute to education of citizenship.
