For large-scale development activities, there is the planned development design system that creates public open spaces around buildings in exchange for easing the building coverage ratio and floor area ratio, and improves convenience for nearby users. However, as planar shape of public open spaces is complicated, there are problems with convenience. In this study, we used a fractal dimension that can express a complex shape with a single index, and extracted public open spaces constructed under the planned development design system in the special ward of Tokyo, and examined its planar shapes.
