The moisture content in wood chips used in biomass boilers, which are made from thinned wood and waste wood, makes combustion difficult and reduces the calorific value. This study aims to reduce the moisture content of wood chips used in biomass boilers by irradiating them with sunlight, which is a renewable energy source, and by agitating them. As a result of these effects, the target value for reducing the moisture content of wood chips was achieved.
