Abstract

Pressure introduces various types of electronic phase transitions, e. g. metal-insulator transition and magneticnon magnetic transition. In this report special attention is paid to the transitions between antiferromagnetism and superconductivity, which have been classified and the possible mechanisms behind this classification are searched for. The implications of the phase diagram of the high temperature superconducting cuprates on the plane of the doping rate, δ, and the temperature, T, are discussed based on this classification.
