Abstract
Recently, wiping performance simulation and theoretical analysis of a wiper is desired to streamline the development of it. This research aims to describe the dynamics of the reversal behavior of the wiper blade. First, the experiment with the cut model of actual blade rubber was conducted to observe the reversal behavior of wiper blade. To theoretically identify the mechanism, governing equations are derived from the analytical model of wiper blade which consists of a rigid bar. Bifurcation produced in the reversal behavior is discussed with the equation of equilibrium focusing on the friction acting the rubber.
