Performances of several kW class SOFC systems are regulated by cell performances and by performances of thermal managements ; the thermal management method is deeply related to the SOFC module design. 1kW class SOFC system has been operated with measurements of temperature, gas flow rate, gas composition analysis and electrical output of the system. Material and heat balance and energy flow is estimated by using the measured data ; the effectiveness of the compact design of the SOFC module is discussed.
