Abstract
Our paper presents a novel method for reconstructing solid models from CAD triangle mesh data by an improved hierarchical face clustering (HFC) with fitting primitives. We present a heuristic segmentation method for clustering quad mesh as an aux method for resolving Cl boundary problem and improving primitive fitting speed. We also propose a process for extracting topology information using B-Rep data structure from cluster graph and primitive information. We defined an XML based temporary file format for porting B-Rep data to other application for convenience.
