The concept and main stages of an optimization procedure for load distribution, collaborating with plant's distributed control system, is described and results from applying it in the largest Polish captive combined heat and power station presented. The quality of the measuring data together with the specific mode of their recording imposes implementing of special measures for proper data preparation. The principles of data control and reconciliation are discussed. An exemplary, brief mathematical description of the steam turbine model, used in the data preparation and optimization, is provided. An example of successful application of the considered procedure is presented and discussed, including general heat diagram and main operation parameters of the object and optimization results.
