A two-phase flow thermal control system, which utilizes the latent heat of fluid, is paid attention to for the heat removal in Space Station and the Space Solar Power System(SSPS). The characteristics are that the system weight is lower than that in single-phase flow and that the temperature can be controlled by changing the pressure of the loop. Conventionally, the control of the temperature in a loop has been performed by operating the pressure of the accumulator. In this paper, the temperature control of the loop by the vapor valve is proposed as a new control method. For the proposal of new control method, an active thermal control system was built and an experiment of the dynamic characteristics was carried out.
