PIV measurements are performed for turbulent channel flows over porous media with structural surface roughness. The roughness elements of k-type and d-type are mounted on the porous media. Logarithmic mean velocity profiles are discussed by considering the log-low over rough and porous walls. In both the k-type and d-type roughness cases, it is found that which is one of the log-law parameters,the equivalent roughness scale, correlates to the combined length scale of porous media and the r.m.s. value of the roughness height.
