The characteristics of the edge-tone generated from a two dimensional jet impinging on a triangle wedge are investigated experimentally using the low-noise acoustic wind tunnel. The exit velocity is 60m/s and the nozzle dimension is 10×100mm. Two dominant frequencies caused by the feedback mechanism are observed. Detailed investigation of the flow field near the wedge surface and the modification of the wedge shape revealed that the both edge-tones are radiated on the entire surface of the wedge. The distraction of the feedback by a tripping wire reduced the first peak 30dB.
