抄録

In the present paper, the author has dealt with the Japanese word of "Kagaku-Gijutsu", i e., "Science and Technology" as the theme of "a discussion for understanding the history of science and technology". The "Kagaku-Gijutsu" is the essential element we built up to live our modern society. The word of "Kagaku-Gijutsu" denotes the combined meaning of both science and technology, and has been used in Japan from 1940s The history of "Kagaku-Gijutsu" is described from its development process, its effects on the society and industry, and so on. The aim of the paper is to make clear the background of the "Kagaku-Gijutsu", then to easily understand the history of "Kagaku-Gijutsu". The author, therefore, has discussed about the fundamentals of history, science and technology and "Kagaku-Gijutsu". The present paper will be an extensive gateway to the history of technology of I.K.Brunei.
