As the numbers of elder wheelchair users have been increasing, the numbers of accidents caused by them have also been increased. The major factor of these accidents might be their overconfidence in a motor function, physical ability and difference between elderly and disabled. When the disabled has his wheelchair as a supportive device, the strict inspection, introduction, judgment and training must be done. On the other hand, the elderly can get his wheelchair easily without above installing sequences. The installing sequences make users to have a sense on safety, but elder wheelchair users have no chance to learn installing sequences. The proposed wheelchair simulation system with VR would be useful to construct such installing sequences for elderly. In this report, the importance to build a wheelchair simulation system, which is used to inspire a sense on safety for elderly, is mainly mentioned.
