Abstract
We attempt to develop a system for measuring a minute force due to a flow around a wing with plasma actuators at a low Reyno lds number. We use a load cell of high resolutions in combinaton with a lever with a magnification ratio of 20. Although the obtained signal is extremely noisy, it is found that we can measure minute forces such as the drag and the lift with a stat istical uncertainty about 10%. Using this measurement system, the favorable effect of plasma actuators installed on the wing tips were confirmed and compared with the data obtained by a direct numerical simulation.
