Abstract

When touring in the headwind, we had the experience of straining our legs. The greatest resistance when riding a bicycle was the resistance to the rider's body, and if it could be reduced, we could travel more easily and faster. As a result of examining the suit shape having the effect of reducing the drag, it was found that a great effect could be obtained not only by forming the back side in a streamlined shape, but by giving a radius to the ventral side. In addition to confirming the drag reduction effect by wind tunnel experiments, it was confirmed that the drag reduction effect was achieved by actually wearing a suit and traveling on a sloped road without pedaling and measuring the time.
