Abstract
"Japan Accreditation Board for Engineering Education (JABEE)" was established on November, 1999 as a non-governmental association for the purpose of accreditation of the engineering education systems of higher education institutions. "The Center for Professional Training and Education of Chemical Engineers" established in the Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan (SCEJ) is closely cooperating with JABEE for the accreditation of "Chemical and Similarly Named Programs". The activity of this center and the engineering ethics of SCEJ are described in the present paper.
