Abstract
"Jerk" is derivative of acceleration. Effective and simple sensors to measure jerk directly are very few. Therefore, in order to use jerk signal to control object motion, value of jerk is often estimated from output of accelerometer. A very simple new seizmo type piezoelectric jerk sensor has been proposed in the previous paper. In the present paper, bulk type piezoelectric elements are utilized. Characteristics for wide frequency range are measured. New facts which could not find using bimorph elements are clarified. Sensor output at relatively high frequency range shows linearity. The lower frequency is, the larger amplitude of the jerk sensor output is.
