Abstract
Ti-Mo-Sn alloy is superelastic alloy of Ni-free. For the development of catheter core materials, Ti-Mo-Sn alloy tube was manufactured, and the mechanical characteristic of tube was investigated. As composition of the tubes, Ti-4at.%Mo-6.5at.%Sn-0.5at.%Sc and Ti-6at.%Mo-4at.%Sn were chosen. But in Ti-6Mo-4Sn, the cold-work of the tube was possible, it was impossible in Ti-4Mo-6.5Sn-0.5Sc. As measures, drawing process at 350 degrees C was investigated. As a result, the manufacture of the tube of outer diameter 2.3mm X wall thickness 0.2mm was enabled. These tubes were evaluated by tensile test. In comparison of two composition, increase of recovery strain, and decrease of young's modulus and yield stress were obtained in the tube of Ti-4Mo-6.5Sn-0.5Sc.
