Abstract
The coupling effect of electromagnetic field and temperature field in the FGM plates related with heat generation due to irradiation power from the surrounding medium and temperature-dependency of electromagnetic properties is analyzed. The solutions to the coupled electromagnetic and temperature fields are obtained by weak-coupling based on the iterative use of the analytical solutions for two fields. The numerical calculations are carried out for the (a) Electric field, (b) Temperature, (c) Thermal stress in FGM plates composed of epoxy resin and titanium oxide. The significance of the coupling effect of the electric and temperature fields is quantitatively discussed.
