An analytical method has been developed for 2-D inverse heat conduction problem by using Laplace transform technique, when some temperatures are known on two different surfaces in a finite body. The method first approximates the temperatures on these surfaces with a half polynomial power series of time and eigen function of x coordinate. The expressions for the surface temperature and heat flux are explicitly obtained in the form of the power series of time and Fourier series of eigen functions. Numerical results show that both the surface temperature and heat flux can be predicted well when compared with the given surface condition.
