For the collision safety improvement of the automobile, it is necessary to examine not only the mutual accident of the automobile but also the collision damage by the motion after the accident. However, the verification by the collision test is not reported on the automobile motion after the accident, though the theoretical analysis has been attempted. In this study, in order to clarify the automobile motion after the collision, as the first step, the motion after side collision was investigated by carrying out the model collision test and theoretical analysis. Change in center of gravity position by the automobile motion after the model collision test showed good agreement with the theoretical analysis result. It is possible to estimate the motion of the automobile after side collision from the initial condition before the collision accident.
