Abstract
The motor drive system using distributed inverters has superior characteristics in fault-tolerance. And the improvement of the drive characteristics has been desired to attain by the cooperative control of the decentralized inverters. However, the detail performance in the motor drive system has not been clarified. This paper describes the output characteristics measured by using an experimental system. The experimental system is composed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM), inverters, current controllers and a speed controller. From those experiments, the characteristics of the motor drive system using the distrubuted inverters are clarified and the characteristics is different from the characteristics of an existing drive system.
