This paper presents a novel control interface for flying robots which provides a feeling that a user is physically connected with the quadcopter by one pole. The proposed interface control the movement of a flying robot by visible light beam as the robot continuously locates on the beam. We developed a prototype of the interface by installing a beam receiver in a quadcopter and making a beam transmitter from a green laser module and a beam expander. The evaluation experiments suggest that the proposed system can provide more intuitive interaction with flying robots than a conventional touch-pad interface, in control of moving direction of the quadcopter.
