On-chip gel actuator is attracting large attention to realize low-invasive manipulations of various cells. Previously, we proposed a novel drive method of the gel actuator by irradiating light. In addition, we integrated large number of gel actuators in a microfluidic chip and drove these actuators independently for cell manipulation by irradiating patterned light. However, complex cell manipulations and the various cell manipulations in parallel have not realized. In this study, we proposed a method for complex cell manipulations in parallel by using integrated light-driven gel actuators. We confirm the cell transportation by controlling fluid resistances and analyze it with a circuit model. We succeeded in switching flow path by changing the fluid resistance and trapping a single cell by using the actuators.
