Current Collection Performance of Overhead Contact Line with Aseismic Pull-off Arm

Abstract

Pull-off arms of overhead contact lines are required to be lighter in weight for current collection performance, but they are also required to improve seismic performance. Careful consideration is required to achieve both of these performances of the pull-off arm. Hence, after investigating seismic design specifications of pull-off arm, we developed the pull-off arm with improved seismic performance. Results of field test showed that the current collection performance of the pull-off arms installed on a commercial line was good.
