The purpose of this study was to interpret teaching by Health and Physical Education (HPE) teachers in part-time high school as “included” in Japan after World War II. Then, this study picked up the case reports by teachers in part-time high school which had published in the magazine “Taiikuka-kyouiku” in 1996-1997.
In conclusion, this study showed the original difficulty situation that was HPE teachers in part-time high school encountered in PE class, extracurricular activities and the others. Then, this situation forced the teachers to change their method that had formed in full-time high school. The trigger of this changes was to understand student’s situation and mind deeply. They thought the students as “excluded” by full-time high school. It meant the teaching by HPE teacher in part-time high school were “included” and their action summarized as follows; “student centered class” and “more polite guidance” in PE class, “student centered activities” and “creating a warm environment” in extracurricular activities, and “more polite guidance” in other situation. Moreover, these actions were classified “close” action that tried to include student who was “excluded” by school curriculum, and “open” action that tried to include him by extra activities in out of school.
