On-site measurement of works under construction is usually carried out either by aerial photogrammetry or using multipurpose precision survey instruments such as total stations, and despite the advantage of measuring accuracy these methods are labor- and time-consuming. With the aim of simplifying the measurement process, therefore, efforts are being made to develop various types of measuring systems. In this study a three-dimensional measurement system using a digital still camera was developed, by introducing closerange remote sensing technology, with the aim of streamlining on-site measurement of works under construction. The proposed system dramatically rationalize on-site measurement of works in progress.
