To obtain maximum efficiency in all the processes of printing production, from design through to post-printing, a well-structured unified model, which covers the whole process, would need to be defined in advance. In this paper, we have compared the two competitive models - CIP4 JDF and Database AMPAC. We also make the sample conversions between CIP4 JDF and Database AMPAC with our conversion program, to verify the flexibility of Database AMPAC.
