Abstract

“NBFW” is the welding method which is able to prevent the brittle fracture in the welded connections of diaphragms and “BCP325T” (high toughness cold press—formed RHS). In order to achieve the proper qualities in the connections, it is important that “NBFW” is applied under the strictly controlled welding conditions, such as configuration of topmost weld-layers, which cause difficulties in the productivity of its fabrication. In this research, various welding conditions of NBFW have been studied. The studied conditions were found to maintain equivalent quality to the conventional ones and enable higher productivity.
