Abstract

This study focuses on the mechanical behaivor of frictional joints with high strength bolts by using two steps bolt set. In this study, slip and relaxation tests are conducted for joints considering construction status. It has been clear that slip coefficient can exceed 0.4 in each surface preparations and construction status except the case which has miss-alliance in assembling the joints. Also, the influence of enlarged hole on strength is not observed. The relaxation of the bolt axial force is the same as previous studies.
