Abstract
Nuclear medicine methodology is one of the powerful tools in evaluating effectiveness and pharmacological analysis of the medical drugs. In the field of the brain disease, evaluation by positron emission tomography (PET) has been established not only in the drug effectiveness test, but also in the whole body pharmacokinetics (PK) and pharmacodynamics (PD) of the drug itself. In this article, we described the present kinetic evaluation of drug effect by PET, especially focusing cerebrovascular disease. We also reported the trend of PET micro-dose test in the process of the recent drug research and development, with introducing the system of the PK/PD PET micro-dose package in our institute.
