Abstract

The Japanese manufacturing industry has been operating with problems such as the high age of its facilities and the fact that equipment breakdowns are not decreasing. During a shortage of personnel and human resources, the key issue for facilities management in the future is to safely improve productivity and realize “Asset management that contributes to business management” while making full use of old facilities. The solution to this issue is “Smart Asset Management,” which involves digitizing and linking all information on “personnel,” “on-site work,” and “management operations” related to facilities through the introduction of various systems and services. This paper introduces a case study of the application of AI to condition monitoring in the Smart Asset Management.
