Since original Ultra Former was firstly invented by T. Kobayashi-the founder of KobayashiEngineering Works, Ltd.-in 1965, we have been delivering Ultra Former Series one after another to the world market, ie, Ultra V (150 m/min), Ultra VI (180 m/min), Ultra VII (250 m/min), High Speed Ultra Former (350 m/min) and Super Ultra Former (500 m/min).
Until this stage, our efforts have been concentrated mainly on increasing production keeping better quality, however, the oil crisis which occurred, all of a sudden at the end of 1973, has deeply let us recognize the importance of saving energy and natural resources.
Ultra C Former (700 m/min) and Ultra Twin Former (700 m/min) which utilize centrifugal water removal, were born to meet these particular demands.
Now, by combining these Formers, or in combination with Fourdrinier machine, any kinds of applications to paper and paperboard manufacturing, have become possible and further more, for targetting maximum saving of energy and raw materials, we are planning to apply high consistency forming technology to our Ultra Former Series.
