The development of a full-automatic unbaler was very complicated work because the sizes and grades of bales have so wide a variety. The biggest diffuculty in the development is the damage of baled pulp during shipment, especially with tightened wires overlaid by the broken bailing paper.
The newest full-automatic unbaler consists of an unloader and wire cutter with turner and a wire gripper-puller with wire cutter, and the unbaler equipped with a turning station and a vacuum pump. The accuracy of the positioning of the wire cutting and gripping device is ± 0.5mm using a servomotor and a pair of magnetic sensors. The construction of the suction pads is so special that any air leakage through the clearance between the embossed baling paper and the suction pad or an opening of broken baling paper does not affect the unbaling action.
