Abstract
The purpose of this research is to clarify the peculiarities of interior decoration construction in contemporary Beijing comparing with the situation in Japan. Practicing small construction and observing its process, the research analyses each of construction schedule, workers' situation, construction cost and material market in Beijing. This research concludes that the peculiarities of Beijing's interior construction are I) toleration to changing at the construction site, 2) large dependence on wood work and 3) adjacency between factory and construction site.
