Abstract

An antigen for immunoduffusion of equine infectious anemia (EIA) formed many extraneous precipitin lines on agar gel when it reacted with sera from experimental horses Inoculated more than four times with an inactivated equine rhinopneumonitis vaccine.
When these lines were remarkable, it was difficult or impossible to make an exact diagnosis of EIA.
These lines disappeared completely when one-fourth volume of bovine serum was added to the test horse serum.
