Clinical Application of Urethrostomy to a Male Dog with Urethral Calculus

Abstract

A male dog suffering from urethral calculus was subjected to urethrostomy. Histopathological examination conducted 4 weeks after operation revealed a satisfactory adhesion between the penile tunica albuginea and the urethral mucous membrane and little contraction of the operative wound. This operation was proved to be applicable to the clinical practice.
