A male dog of mixed Chaw Chaw, aged 1 year and 4 months, showed persistent atrial standstill and marked cardiomegaly with ascites and bradycardia, and died after treating with diuretics and peritonocentesis for 11 months. Gross observation has shown marked enlargement of the right atrium. Histpathology revealed atrial adipofibrosis, and persistent atrial standstill might be due to idiopathic enlargement of the right atrium.
