The Structure and the Test Results of a Tray Blade Wind Turbine

Abstract

A new type of two bladed horizontal axis wind turbine which is driven by angular momentum generated in the bent wind flow passing on the blade surface is studied experimentally in order to understand its potentiality. From this study, we found that the turbine was able to work as a useful convertor of wind flow into rotary motion if a device called as flow conductor is attached to the turbine blade. This flow conductor is briefly described in this report.
