Investigation of measurement method for diffusible hydrogen in welded joint

Abstract

When certain amount of hydrogen penetrates in weld, cold crack might occur near room temperature. Measurement method for diffusible hydrogen with predetermined test piece is standardized in JIS Z 3118, but cannot estimate quantity of diffusible hydrogen in actual welded joint. Therefore, some sampling containers were produced experimentally and measurement method for diffusible hydrogen in welded joint was investigated with them.
