In 39 apparently healthy cases the experimenters gave one point of moxibustion over the skin or of acupuncture into the muscle at each Gen or Keiketsu of any Keiraku, and located the points of the skin rapidly reactive to electric stimulus, or palpated the latent papule, and observed the appearance of papules.
As in the last report he proved with genuine objectivity the general existence of Keiraku, described in old chinese literature. Moreover in 3 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis a row of papules appeared spontaneously along the corresponding Keiraku-line (Hai-kei) in 3 month, without applying any stimulus.
Such Keiraku-phenomenon, in nature, is a special functional course of impulse (a humoral circulating pathway) to be descriminated from the Head's zone, but each Keiketsu on the former connects with corresponding viscera by means of vegetative cutaneo-visceral reflex through the latter. Thus they reach the conclusion that the main causative factor of these re-investigated reversible humoral circulating pathway would be co-ordination of muscles, originating from the physiological action such as bending and stretching of body and limb, walking, mastication, respiration, emotional changes of face etc., and that corresponding to these peripheral kineto-dy amic functions there must be within the reflex centre systematical facilitation of gathering reflexes of a group of muscles.
Study of Keiraku-phenomena will contribute to rationalization of sports-medicine, gymnastics and massage-therapy.
