On June 15, 2023, the Japanese Society of Hepatology announced that the ALT value reflecting the liver function "over 30" will be used as an index for visiting medical institutions. Thus, the Liver and Gastrointestinal Diseases Countermeasure Committee of the Kanagawa Medical Association conducted a self-administered questionnaire survey on the awareness of primary care physicians and industrial physicians regarding "ALT over 30: Nara Declaration" with the aim of raising awareness of "ALT over 30. " Depending on the initial response to liver dysfunction cases, it was suggested that care should be taken to reduce the burden on specialized medical institutions from "excessive referrals. " Furthermore, since it has not been sufficiently recognized in the medical profession, further awareness-raising activities are needed through academic societies to which primary care physicians and industrial physicians belong.
