Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to find issues of guidance on teaching practices in Department of Early Childhood Education and Care, Kochi Gakuen College. The students have to study five teaching practices in two years to get two qualifications, kindergarten teacher and nursery. The subject of this study was the students who finished all teaching practices. The author asked them the following question"Which training gave you the strongest impressions? " According to their answers, most of them seemed to feel great difficulties in teaching practice at a kindergarten and teaching practice at a social welfare institution. To reduce their difficulties in teaching practice at a kindergarten, for example, it is necessary to lay emphasis on prior guidance for second-year students and to teach them how to build a teaching plan in detail. And for training in a social welfare institution, it is very important to improve the guidance from the perspective of knowledge about institutions and of the lifestyle of the students.
