画像処理によるX線検査フィルム中の溶接欠陥の認識とその画像表示

抄録

A new computer-aided system to detect weld defects in an X-ray inspection film, such as blowholes, slag inclusions and cracks, and to display them on the CRT is constructed. That is, a method involving the input of a high-contrast image to a computer, followed by the subtraction of the background image from the original image to enhance defect images by means of a two-dimensional filter, is proposed. Moreover, the effectiveness of the systems proposed is confirmed by applying them to X-ray inspection films of welds obtained from the submerged arc welding process.
