The rolling contact fatigue life test of Ball Ways under the test conditions of normal load F=5.9kN, 9.8kN, 13.7kN and the linear stroke 200mm are carried out to investigate the effect of Raydent treatment for the fatigue life properties of Ball Way. The conventional Ball Way (Normal type), Raydent treated Ball Way (Raydent type) and Raydent-PTFE treated Ball Way (Raydent-PTFE type) were prepared in order to examine the fatigue life distribution and the durability. It was shown that the fatigue life of Raydent-PTFE type increased in comparison to that of Normal type. And, it was shown from the results of Weibull analysis of life value that the life of Normal type fits well to the 2-parameter Weibull distribution. However, the knee points on the 2-parameter Weibull distribution appeared for Raydent type and Raydent-PTFE type because of the difference of crack initiation point, because the damage patterns under the higher loading conditions mingle the indentation initiation type and the non indentation initiation type together in the case of these specimens.
