Abstract
We have successfully developed the novel moisturized nonwoven fabrics having soft, moist, smooth and strong features. The spunlace nonwovens including pulp fibers were the most suitable base materials for moisturized nonwoven fabrics. When the liquid moisturizer containing glycerine and sorbitol was subjected to the spunlace nonwovens with pulp, the fabrics obtained became soften and moisten. The moisturized nonwoven fabrics are expected to be used for cosmetic, baby and nursing applications. We are now making efforts to newly categorize the moisturized nonwoven fabrics as 3rd nonwoven fabrics, following dry nonwoven fabrics and wet tissue.
