Fifteen soybean cultivars were tested for the resistance to Phialophora gregata f. sp. sojae and reaction to gregatin A. In the plants treated with gregatin A (0, 6.25, 12.5 and 25ppm), internal stem browning similar to the symptom of P. gregata infection was observed. The differences in cultivars, concentrations of gregation A, and their interaction had significant effect on the progress of stem browning. However, there was no relationships between resistance to P. gregata and reaction to gregation A.
