Abstract

In recent years, the problem of Internet addiction with the excessive use of the Internet along with its attendant adverse effects on individuals has been pointed out. Under these circumstances, efforts to prevent the overuse of the Internet and to improve the quality of student’s Internet addiction have been widely undertaken; however, the problem lies in the fact that they do not encourage behavioral change among students. Therefore,in this research,we developed an information moral class for junior high school students. Simultaneously,we thought that it would be effective for them to make an “Internet-addiction scale” by themselves in a group activity, which we could incorporate into the program. Consequently,it became clear that awareness was advised with regard to multiple items. Going by these results,it was suggested that the information moral class developed in this research was effective in encouraging awareness regarding Internet-addiction tendencies.
