Toward elderly society, development of equipments for assisting human walk is getting more important nowadays. Some assisting equipments of a cart-type have been developed. However, it has not been clarified how the equipments effect the generated muscle tensions and energy consumption of human users. In this paper, we have evaluated a human walk using the walker. We estimated the energy consumption based on the muscle-skeleton model. It is shown that the energy consumption of gait with the walker has decreased by92%of the normal gait . Our evaluation method will be useful for developing practical assisting equipments.
